Hydraulic pump efficiency and power

Sep 11, 2023

The hydraulic pump is driven by the prime mover, and the input is mechanical energy, which is represented by torque and speed; The output is the hydraulic energy, which is expressed as the pressure and flow of the liquid. The energy conversion rate in the operation of the hydraulic pump is called efficiency and power, and the detailed point is divided into the following points:

1. Theoretical power:
Without considering the loss of the hydraulic pump in the energy conversion process, the mechanical power theoretically input by the hydraulic pump is called the theoretical input power; The hydraulic power theoretically generated is called the theoretical output power;

2. Actual power
The actual power refers to the theoretical driving mechanical power that actually drives the hydraulic pump shaft; The actual output power of the hydraulic pump The actual output power of the pseudo hydraulic pump on the north side;

3. Theoretical torque
When the energy loss of hydraulic pump is not urgent in the energy conversion process, the input torque of hydraulic pump is called the theoretical torque of hydraulic pump; In the working process, the actual input torque of the hydraulic pump is called the actual torque, because the hydraulic pump work will cause torque loss due to friction, which seems to make the actual torque of the driving hydraulic pump greater than its theoretical driving torque.

4. Efficiency
Because the hydraulic pump has flow loss and mechanical friction loss in the process of realizing energy conversion, the output power of the pump is less than the input power, and the difference between the two is the power loss.
