Hydraulic pump coupling selection and assembly requirements

Oct 08, 2023

Coupling
1. Selection of coupling
The hydraulic pump drive shaft can not withstand radial force and axial force, so it is not allowed to install belt wheels, gears, or sprockets directly on the shaft end, usually with a coupling to connect the drive shaft and pump drive shaft. If due to manufacturing reasons, the coaxial degree of the pump and the coupling exceeds the standard, and there is a deviation during assembly, the centrifugal force increases the deformation of the coupling with the increase of the pump speed, and the centrifugal force increases. Resulting in a vicious cycle, the result of vibration and noise, thus affecting the service life of the pump. In addition, there are other influencing factors such as coupling pin loosening and not timely tightening, rubber ring wear, and not timely replacement.
2, Coupling assembly requirements
The coaxial error of the two axes of the rigid coupling is less than 0.05mm;
The coaxial error of the two axes of the elastic coupling is less than 0.1mm;
Angle error of two axes 1°;
The drive shaft and pump end should be kept 5 ~ 10mm away.
